Named Best Places to Work finalist for second consecutive year

Finance Now has been recognised as a Best Places to Work finalist for the second consecutive year, with the company achieving recognition in both the Large Employer category and the Community and Regional Impact spotlight category at the 2025 awards.

Best Place to Work awards badges 2025 and 2024

The Best Places to Work programme independently assesses workplace culture through employee surveys and organisational review. For Finance Now, the back-to-back recognition validates its commitment to creating an environment where its 240+ team members can thrive.

“Being recognised two years running means a lot, but what matters more is what our team tells us every day – that this is a place where they feel valued and supported. That’s the culture we’ve built together, and it shows in how we look after our customers,” says CEO Hadyn Halls.

The recognition reflects the culture Finance Now has built – a place where people feel valued, supported and inspired to do their best work.

Key results from the independent assessment:

  • 94% understand how their role connects to the company’s purpose
  • 97% are clear on what’s expected of them
  • 92% feel empowered to deliver great customer experiences
  • 91% feel they can bring their authentic self to work
  • 90% have confidence in the company’s leadership

Over the past year, Finance Now has invested in team wellbeing through increased wellbeing allowances, enhanced parental leave, the Synergy Health wellbeing platform, and team challenges including Step Challenge and Round the Bays.

Workplace Wellbeing recognised at Southland Business Excellence Awards

Finance Now has been recognised for its commitment to team wellbeing, winning the Workplace Wellbeing category at the 2025 Datagrid New Zealand Southland Business Excellence Awards.

The company was also a finalist for the Supreme Award and Professional Services categories, reflecting the breadth of its contribution to the Southland business community.

The recognition is particularly meaningful for Finance Now’s Invercargill-based team, who have been serving Southland businesses and families for 25 years.

“We take care of our people so they can take care of our customers,” said Hadyn Halls, Finance Now CEO. “That’s what this is about – helping Kiwis make their now count and making sure there’s always a real person to talk to when they call. Being recognised alongside businesses that represent excellence across Southland highlighted the region’s strength as a business community.”

“The region continues to punch above its weight, and we’re proud to be part of that,” Halls said.
