Finance Now is collaborating with Visa, Pismo and The Online Fuel Company to bring New Zealand’s first universal digital payment solution for business vehicles to market, giving businesses a single digital platform to manage fleet and fuel spend.
Finance Now, one of New Zealand’s leading finance providers, today announced an expanded collaboration with Visa, a world leader in digital payments, to launch the country’s first universal digital payment solution for business vehicles.
Finance Now is also collaborating with technology partners Pismo, the cloud-native core banking and cards platform, and The Online Fuel Company. This will see Finance Now become the first in New Zealand to offer an open-loop fleet payment solution with universal acceptance, enhanced security and real-time control features.
The new solution from Finance Now will provide one digital payment platform that works anywhere Visa is accepted for fuel, maintenance, tolls and other vehicle-related expenses. Business owners will be able to choose which expense categories to enable for each vehicle or user, providing greater control over how vehicles and drivers can spend.

The solution uses Visa’s value-added services – including advanced cloud-native processing, real-time data insights and industry-leading security – to deliver a future-ready payments platform for New Zealand businesses. By building on Visa’s global infrastructure and innovation capabilities, Finance Now’s solution will feature instant digital card provisioning to digital wallets, mobile app management, detailed transaction data down to the pump level, and real-time spending controls that business owners can adjust on the go. Enhanced security through chip technology and tokenisation will provide the same level of protection Kiwis expect from their personal payments.
The platform is also built for the future, with support for EV charging infrastructure as New Zealand businesses transition to electric vehicles.
Finance Now will work with fuel retailers, fleet management companies and other partners to make the solution available for businesses across New Zealand.

The platform is powered by Pismo, a cloud-native banking and cards technology platform, which enables the flexible, scalable infrastructure needed to support modern payment solutions. Built on real-time events, the infrastructure will give users better control and security over their payments.
